Meet the Staff

Dr. Anders graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He attended Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN where he earned the degree of Doctor of Optometry. Dr. Anders set himself apart with the honor of being selected as "Who's Who Among American Colleges and Universities" at both Louisiana Tech and Southern College of Optometry. 

Dr. Anders received in-depth optometric training through internships at The Eye Center at Southern College of Optometry (Memphis, TN), the Alexandria VA Medical Center (Pineville, LA), and Bossier Family Eye Care (Bossier City, LA).  These internships were focused in the following areas: 

• Primary Eye Care
• Standard and Specialty Contact Lenses
• Pediatrics and Binocular Vision
• Low Vision and Rehabilitation
• Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease
• Minor Surgical Procedures

A native of Winnsboro, LA, Dr. Anders is following in the footsteps of his late father, Dr. David R. Anders, OD.  After finishing his optometric education and training, Dr. Anders and his wife, Ashleigh, decided to make their home in Ruston, where they met while studying at Louisiana Tech. They are proud parents to three beautiful children, Lily, Nolan, and Mary Ellis.

Dr. Anders is a licensed in the State of Louisiana to practice the full scope of optometry including advanced therapeutics and advanced procedures, and he is currently accepting new patients. Call our office today to schedule an appointment with Dr. Anders.
